Privacy Policy

The India HR Conclave, referred to here as IHRC, is run by 1 Finance. This policy covers the public website at indiahrcommunity.com and the members-only portal. It explains what personal data we collect, why, and the rights you hold over it under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the rules made under it.

We collect only what the community needs to function.

• Identity and profile - Your name, photograph, designation, company, city, and, if you choose to add it, your LinkedIn URL.
• Contact details - Your mobile number, used for login by OTP, and your email address.
• Application records - What you submit when you apply, and our verification of it.
• Activity on the portal - Points earned and redeemed, events attended, articles submitted and published, polls and votes, referrals, and your use of portal features. We need this to credit points and verify activities.
• Messages - Messages you exchange with members are stored so the service works. We do not read them, except where a conduct complaint requires investigation.
• Redemption details - What is needed to complete a reward redemption, such as the UPI or delivery details you provide.
• Technical data - Device and log information, and cookies on the public website, used to keep the service secure and working.

We use your data to verify and manage your membership, operate the points and rewards programme, run events, publish what you submit for publication, send you IHRC updates, keep the portal secure, improve it, and meet our legal obligations. Each purpose is tied to the data listed above, and we do not use your data for purposes beyond these without asking you first.

We process your data on the basis of the consent you give at signup, through a notice that is separate from the Terms of Membership. You can withdraw that consent at any time, as easily as you gave it, by writing to connect@indiahrcommunity.com. If you withdraw, we stop the related processing; parts of the portal that depend on it may stop working for you, and we will tell you which before you decide.

Other members see your profile through the member directory, as described in the Terms of Membership. Our rewards partner xoxoday receives only what is needed to complete a redemption you have requested. Service providers who host or help operate the portal handle data under contracts that bind them to this policy's standards. We share data with authorities where the law requires it.

We do not sell your data. We do not pass your details to any sales team.

We keep your data while your membership is active. When your membership ends, we remove your profile from the directory and delete your data, keeping only what the law requires us to retain, such as records connected to reward redemptions, for the periods the law sets.

We apply reasonable security safeguards to the data we hold, including limits on who within our team can access it. If a breach affects your personal data, we will inform you and the Data Protection Board of India within the timelines the law requires.

You can ask for a summary of the data we hold about you, have it corrected or updated, have it deleted, and nominate a person to exercise these rights on your behalf if you are unable to. Write to connect@indiahrcommunity.com; we will respond within 7 days.

The public website uses a small number of cookies to keep it working and to understand how it is used. You can decline non-essential cookies when you first visit, and change that choice at any time.

IHRC is a community of working professionals. The portal is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from minors.

If we change this policy in any way that matters, we will tell you on the portal or by email before the change takes effect.
