Terms of Membership
IN BRIEF
Membership is free, and every application is verified before approval. The Code of Conduct applies throughout. One point is worth one rupee, redeemable from 500 points through our rewards partner, and rewards may carry tax implications for you. What you publish remains yours; IHRC carries it on the portal and shares it on IHRC channels, credited to you. We collect only the information needed to run the community, and we do not sell it. Activities involving 1Finance earn points as an option, never as an obligation. You may leave at any time. The full terms follow.
Who we are?
The India HR Conclave, referred to here as IHRC, is a community of CHROs, CXOs, founders, and senior business leaders, run through this portal at indiahrcommunity.com. It is an initiative of 1 Finance, with its registered office at 11th Floor, Lotus Corporate Park, Unit No. 1101 & 1102, B - Wing, Laxmi Nagar, Goregaon East, Mumbai, Maharashtra 400063. In these terms, we, us, and IHRC mean that entity. You means the member.
Membership
Membership is free of charge and intended for senior HR and business leaders. Our team verifies every application before approving access. We may decline an application that does not fit the community, and we may revoke membership where these terms or the Code of Conduct are breached.
Membership is personal. It does not transfer with your role, your team, or your company, and each member holds one account.
Your account
Login is by mobile number and OTP. Keep your registered number current, do not share an OTP, and do not allow anyone to use the portal as you. Keep your profile accurate, and tell us promptly if you believe your account has been used by someone else.
The Code of Conduct
The Code of Conduct in Part One forms part of these terms. Accepting one means accepting both.
Points and rewards
You earn points for activities listed on the portal, at the values shown there. One point is worth one rupee. Once your balance reaches 500 points, you may redeem it for gift cards, vouchers, experiences, or bank transfer, subject to the terms at the time of redemption.
Certain activities are verified before points are credited, including event attendance, referrals that result in an approved member, and LinkedIn shares. Time-limited bonuses, including any founding member bonus, expire on the date stated when they are offered.
Points are a benefit of membership, not property. They are not salary, wages, a deposit, or an investment. They earn no interest, cannot be transferred or sold, and have no cash value except through redemption on the portal.
We may reverse points earned through misuse or misrepresentation. We may also change activity values or close the programme; if we do, we will give you fair notice and a reasonable window to redeem what you have earned.
Rewards you redeem may be taxable in your hands under Indian law. That responsibility is yours, and we will make any reports or deductions the law requires of us.
Publishing
Everything you write remains yours. By submitting an article, you permit IHRC to carry it on the portal and to share it, credited to you, on IHRC's channels, including social media. This reach is part of what publishing here offers, and we state it upfront.
Submit only work you have the right to publish. Our editors review every submission and may decline it or request changes. If you later wish to withdraw an article, write to us; we will remove it from the portal and stop further sharing from our side.
Peer guidance and templates
What members share in discussions, mentoring conversations, and salary or benefits exchanges is experience, not professional advice. Templates and toolkits are contributed by members as they are. Adapt anything you take from the portal to your own context, and have your own counsel review anything with legal weight before relying on it.
The member directory
Your profile, including your name, role, company, photograph, tier, and contributions, is visible to approved members through the directory. The directory may be used only for individual connection. Exporting, scraping, or using member information for marketing or any purpose outside the portal is a breach of these terms, and we may restrict messaging or directory access on misuse.
Your information
We collect what you provide at signup and on your profile, together with your activity on the portal, which we need to credit points, verify activities, and understand what members use. We use this information to run the community, manage events and rewards, share IHRC updates, and improve the portal. When you redeem rewards, we share with our rewards partner only what is needed to complete the redemption.
We do not sell member data, and we do not pass your details to any sales team, within or outside 1 Finance, without your consent. You may ask what we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted by writing to connect@indiahrcommunity.com. Consent, once given, can be withdrawn at any time, as easily as it was given. Our handling of personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy and governed by the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
IHRC and 1 Finance
We prefer to state this plainly. IHRC is built and funded by 1 Finance, a SEBI registered financial advisory firm. Certain activities on the portal involve 1 Finance offerings, such as PlanMyTax.ai or financial wellness workshops for your organisation, and these earn points like any other activity. They are always optional. Your membership, your standing, your tier, and your access to anything IHRC offers never depend on taking up anything 1 Finance provides.
Events
Attendance earns points, and many events have limited seats, so an RSVP is a commitment. Repeated absences can affect access to priority RSVPs. Photographs and recordings are taken at some events for IHRC's use on the portal and its channels; if you prefer not to appear in them, tell the team at the venue and we will respect it. Sessions held in confidence remain confidential, online or in person.
Research and materials
Members-only research, benchmarks, reports, recordings, and materials are for your use and your team's. Do not republish them, share them outside the community, or circulate them commercially without our permission.
Ending membership
You may close your membership at any time by writing to us. If you leave in good standing, you have 30 days to redeem any balance above the redemption threshold before it lapses.
We may suspend or end a membership for breaches of these terms or the code, in serious cases without prior notice, and a membership ended this way forfeits its points balance. When membership ends, we remove your profile from the directory and retain only what the law requires.
What we cannot promise
We work to keep the portal available and secure, but we cannot promise it will always be free of interruptions or faults, and redemptions depend in part on our rewards partner. Decisions you take on the basis of what you read or hear here remain your own, and neither IHRC nor any individual member is responsible for them. To the extent Indian law allows, our liability in connection with the portal is limited accordingly.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in any way that matters, including how points are earned or redeemed, we will tell you on the portal or by email before the change takes effect. Continued use of the portal after that constitutes acceptance.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Mumbai have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute connected to them.
